Many churches and schools have taken steps to reduce waste at events by washing reusable dishes, eliminating polystyrene foam, donating leftover food, composting food waste and cutting down on single-use packaging, particularly plastics. These efforts are aimed at reducing consumption, minimizing environmental impact and mitigating climate change.
