Empowering the Next Generation of Catholic Climate Leaders
The Pope Francis Scholarship for Climate Justice, provided by Catholic Climate Covenant, supports young leaders who are dedicated to advancing climate justice through faith, education, and action. Inspired by Laudato Si’ and Pope Francis’ call to care for our common home, this scholarship helps students continue their environmental leadership as they transition from high school to college.
Each year, one outstanding student who has participated in the Catholic Youth Climate Leadership (CYCL) Program will be awarded $5,000 to support their post-secondary education. The award may be renewed for up to four years, for a total of $20,000, provided the recipient continues their commitment to climate justice through their studies or community service.
