All Creation Gives God Praise: Protecting Biodiversity in a Time of Climate Crisis
SPECIAL NOTE: April 22, 2019 marks the 49th anniversary of Earth Day, a secular celebration that many faith communities have incorporated into their annual calendars for awareness and action. This year, Earth Day falls on the Saturday before Easter (April 22nd). Therefore, we recommend celebrating Earth Day during the Easter season or another date that suits your community’s schedule.
To complement the Earth Day Network’s 2019 theme, ”Protect Our Species”, Catholic Climate Covenant has chosen the theme, “All Creation Gives God Praise: Protecting Biodiversity in a Time of Climate Crisis”.

All Creation Gives God Praise: Protecting Biodiversity in a Time of Climate Crisis
Catholic Climate Covenant 2019 Earth Day program is now available for download! The one-hour educational program, “All Creation Gives God Praise: Protecting Biodiversity in a Time of Climate Crisis” complements the Earth Day Network’s 2019 theme, “Protect Our Species.”
The diversity and the populations of the species around us and upon which we depend, are declining at alarming rates. However, we can act to protect our species, through our individual actions, our communities, nationally, and globally. Grounded in scripture, Catholic social teaching, and Laudato Si, this year’s Earth Day program will help mobilize the Catholic community to take urgent action to protect all of God’s creation.
The one-hour educational program includes prayers, readings, a short video, and suggested activities.
