Scripture

The Bible reveals to us that creation is a good gift which God has made and invited us to steward. Through Scripture, we come to recognize and appreciate God’s vision for the asesome world which God created.

“The LORD God then took the man and settled him in the garden of Eden, to cultivate and care for it.” Genesis 2:15

“How varied are your works, LORD! In wisdom you have made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. There is the sea, great and wide! It teems with countless beings, living things both large and small. There ships ply their course and Leviathan,* whom you formed to play with. All of these look to you to give them food in due time. When you give it to them, they gather; when you open your hand, they are well filled. When you hide your face, they panic. Take away their breath, they perish and return to the dust. Send forth your spirit, they are created and you renew the face of the earth.” Psalm 104:24-30

“For creation was made subject to futility, not of its own accord but because of the one who subjected it, in hope that creation itself would be set free form slavery to corruption and share in the glorious freedom of the children of God. We know that all creation is groaning in labor pains even until now; and not only that, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, we also groan within ourselves as we wait for adoption, the redemption of our bodies.” Romans 8:20-23
