Happy Season of Creation!
We invite you to order or download our beautiful new Season of Creation liturgical banner from our Care for Creation resources!
The 2-feet wide x 6-feet tall banner can be hung or displayed on a vertical stand, and features St. Francis with a dove and love for creation, with a background of land, water, vegetation and the sun shining through stained glass behind him, representative of our Catholic faith and love for all of God's creation and people.
There are three versions of the banner to choose from: English, Spanish, and bilingual.
About the Liturgical Banner
Catholic Climate Covenant and Laudato Si' Movement in the U.S. have partnered to offer the Season of Creation liturgical banner to all dioceses, parishes, universities, schools, groups, and any community of faith that wishes to celebrate and protect creation, and spread awareness of Season of Creation.
The banner states Season of Creation is Sept. 1-Oct. 4th, and it can be used year after year.
What is Season of Creation?
The Season of Creation is a time to renew our relationship with our Creator and all creation through celebration, conversion, and commitment together. During the Season of Creation, we join our sisters and brothers in the ecumenical family in prayer and action for our common home. Pope Francis made the Roman Catholic Church’s warm welcoming of the season official in 2015.
