Help shape the 2021 conference: Be part of a working group!

Laudato Si’ and the U.S. Catholic Church: A Conference Series on Our Common Home” is a biennial conference series co-sponsored by Creighton University and Catholic Climate Covenant. The series convenes, inspires, and equips U.S. leaders to integrate creation care into the U.S. Catholic Church. The first conference was held at Creighton in June 2019. The second will be held virtually July 13-15, 2021.

Organizers are now seeking Catholics committed to creation care to join these 2021 working groups:

  • Advocacy
  • Colleges/Universities
  • Communications/Media
  • Creation Care Teams
  • Environmental Justice
  • Homiletics
  • Parochial Schools
  • Youth & Young Adults

If you care about creation and want to help more Catholics know, understand and act on the teachings of Laudato Si', please apply today! Selected applicants will gather over the course of 3-4 months to identify the unique barriers and also the possibilities of inspiring and empowering U.S. Catholics to protect our Common Home guided by our faith. Participants will present their findings at the Laudato Si’ and the U.S. Catholic Church virtual conference.

Applicants should have a commitment to this process, be willing to help implement any programs that result from their participation, and have some ability to influence others in their network to join these efforts.

**NOTE: We are currently seeking working group participants for the conference. Speakers, General Registration and other details will be announced in the coming weeks!**
