Advocacy Intern

I feel very blessed to serve as an intern with the Covenant! I am a junior at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska studying Political Science, Theology, and Justice & Peace Studies. I am participating in the Spring 2022 Capitol Hill Internship Program (CHIP).

I am excited to explore the crucial intersections of faith, politics, and climate science. Hailing from a small town in Kansas, I recognize the importance of clear communication from the institutional Church to laity about issues like climate change. My educational journey continues to deepen my own care for creation through course curricula, campus organizations, and faith practices steeped in justice. I hope to respond to the Church’s call for young people to engage in Catholic social issues by making connections with officials to promptly articulate solutions to climate change across both political and religious spectrums.

I am a member of Sacred Heart parish in Sabetha, Kansas, and I enjoy running, reading, and spending time with family and friends!
