Avoid the Bags!

Consider reusable containers for leftovers (even from restaurants!) and for packing your lunch instead of disposable plastic bags. Containers that you can use over again will reduce emissions from producing plastic bags and be cheaper, too!

Location! Location!

Place recycling bins where they’ll be noticed.  The more convenient the bin, the more it will be used. Lots of recyclable bins = lots of recyclables! Place paper receptacles near printers and copiers and beverage container receptacles in kitchens.

Buy products in containers that are recyclable or reusable…and recycle! Many states offer free or low-cost recycling services and ten states even offer refunds for turning in used beverage containers.
