Eat fresh, buy local!

The average meal travels 1,500 miles from farm to table. Buying local, in-season foods means healthier, riper, more environmentally friendly foods…while supporting your local farmers and gardeners.

Avoid buying bottled water

Recycle

Buy products in containers that are recyclable or reusable…and recycle! Many states offer free or low-cost recycling services and ten states even offer refunds for turning in used beverage containers.
