Use Power Strips

Plug in electronics and computers to power strips and save energy by turning off computers when not in use. Set network systems to low-power sleep modes. Shutting down just one computer and monitor system can save up to $100 annually.

Turn off the lights!

If a room goes empty for even a few minutes, turn the lights off and save energy. Install lights fixtures with automatic sensors to save money and energy! They can be used in lots of places, from outside floodlights to household hallways.

Location! Location!

Place recycling bins where they’ll be noticed.  The more convenient the bin, the more it will be used. Lots of recyclable bins = lots of recyclables! Place paper receptacles near printers and copiers and beverage container receptacles in kitchens.
